Bruce + Fish = Still Awesome

One year, two months and 15 days have passed since we last posted a picture of our favorite Cornhusker, Bruce, holding a giant fish. Frankly, that's entirely too long, but thankfully, as you can see above, our man has delivered once again. Believe it or not, the photo gets even bigger if you click on it, so do so only if you dare. Nice work, Bruce!

We'll get you, wise guy. And your little dog, too.

We couldn't help but notice someone turned the Grand Theft Auto IV sticker on a sign in our parking lot into a rather hilarious joke. Kudos to you, anonymous graffiti humorist! However, we feel obliged to point out that we don't stock any selections from the catalog of the Los Angeles rockers best known for 1983 chart-topper "Africa." However, we'd be happy to special-order them for you!

In other "near the parking lot" news, aren't these flowers pretty?

Happy Saturday, y'all.

Kevin Dunn in-store performance on Sunday!

Check it out, folks, from the latest Decatur CD newsletter:

Kevin Dunn: Live at Decatur CD!
On Sunday, May 23rd at 4 p.m., we're honored to have legendary Atlanta rocker Kevin Dunn in the house. He'll be playing with a full, electric band. We could go on at length about Dunn's musical contributions and all the myriad bands he's influenced, both with The Fans and his solo work, but we'll let Tony Paris of Stomp and Stammer take it from here. Read his excellent review of Dunn's latest, No Great Lost. We'll be furnishing some of the usual refreshments that afternoon, so stop on by, have a drink on us and enjoy some awesome free, live music.

It's gonna be a blast! See you then!

David Stephens: Renaissance Man

If we've blogged about our buddy David Stephens once, we've blogged about him a thousand times, but with good reason. Dude's a modern day renaissance man: puppeteer, blogger, banjo monster, maker of Beasties, myriad other skills. So you can imagine how pleased we were this morning when he tweeted us his latest creation, a thoroughly charming video you can watch below:

It looks a little janky embedded in Blogger, and we'd recommend you watch it in all its full-screen glory.

Enjoy. It's the kind of lighthearted fare that's simply perfect for a lovely Saturday like today. And remember, you can buy all three of David's albums from your friends at Decatur CD. Speaking of albums, David e-mailed us this, "New album should be out in a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed."
