Record Store Day Photos

Hey, did you guys hear? We had a band on the roof Saturday. Expect more of that in the future. For now, though, photos!

The calm before the storm. (See the folks outside the door?)

...and then they descended on us.

Did we mention the band on the roof?

Not bad, right? Look forward to more events like this.

And finally, a great crowd shot from a great customer, Noel:

New Releases 4/23/13

Everyone recover from Record Store Day? We think we have...or maybe almost have is more accurate. We know one thing for sure: italics rule. At any rate, what a blast! The El Caminos on the roof, a line of music lovers around the building, delicious beer from our friends at Sierra Nevada and New Holland. Oh yeah, and a ton of great vinyl! We were honored to sell it to the best customers in the world.

But it's a new week, and with that, new releases. A relatively light week, though. Perhaps the recording industry is a little RSD-hungover as well. Check out the list below, and we'll see you soon:

Steve Martin/Edie Brickell
Michael Buble
Frank Turner
The Chapin Sisters
Har Mar Superstar
Paula Cole
Snoop Lion
Luke Winslow-King
Tom Jones

Atlanta Mess-Around Turns Five

It's almost that time of year again—time to gorge ourselves on punk rock for two full days. Oh yes, friends: the Atlanta Mess-Around will be here in a couple weeks. Not only that, but the scrappy EAV fest is turning five this year! We can only assume that means there'll be cake served up on unplayable, scratched-up Killed By Death comps. But birthday treats or no, there are tons of great bands coming to town. Los Vigilantes, Apache Dropout, Parting Gifts, The Ettes, Mean Jeans, the list goes on an on, and includes local folks like Turf War, Ghost Bikini and the newly-minted GHB. The whole thing is capped by what will once again be a delightful, hangover-curing dunch set from Greg Cartwright at The EARL. We'll be there. Will you?

New Releases 4/9/13 and 4/2/13

Twice the fun, we've got two (weeks' worth of releases) in one (blog post)! Blame it on the pollen.
