Diane Birch Photos

What with all the excitement of having the lovely Diane Birch in the store, then the ensuing/usual day-to-day madness of running a full-service music store, we forgot to post some photos! So here they are, then. A little late, sure, but that, as they say, is better than never. Thanks to all who came out and enjoyed her set!

Wednesday. June 9. 6pm. Diane Birch. In-Store!

From the good, old Decatur CD newsletter:

We're going to have Diane Birch in this very store on Wednesday, June 9th at 6 p.m. Not familiar with Diane Birch? Fret not! You can have a listen on her MySpace page, and we'll soon have her album, Bible Belt, up on a listening station. She plays Smith's Olde Bar after the in-store and Bonnaroo the next day. Busy gal. The New York Times, Paste, NPR and many more have said some super nice things about her, which we suggest you read. We then suggest you join us Wednesday evening. See you then!

Decatur CD's Upcoming Show Guide - June

The last time the infamous NOBUNNY came to town was for the inaugural Atlanta Mess-Around in late 2008. One impressed onlooker described his set thusly: "...a much-needed half-hour shot in the arm of crunchy, lo-fi, one-to-three-minute blasts of fun. NOBUNNY worked the house like James Brown, drinking from one of his high heels, stripping off his t-shirt, slipping into headliner Gentleman Jesse's 'I Don't Wanna Know' mid-song and inspiring the crowd to sing along in gaping awe throughout. 'This'll all be over soon,' he said a few songs in, but no one in the room wanted his set to end." Meanwhile, The Spits are also playing, a group of fellas that Young Eliot regularly calls "the best band ever." And on top of that, two great local bands open the night. Needless to say, if you're into punk-rock spectacles, we'd suggest you get yourself to The EARL tonight.

But that's not all June has in store. Take a look at the many shows below:
