Porterdavis in-store performance on Sunday (4/9/06)

Because Decatur CD loves you so much, we have another (albeit, last minute) in-store performance coming your way this Sunday, April 9, in this foul year of our Lord, 2006 (at 5pm). That's right, in just a few days you can come by the store and see a band play. What band, you ask? Well, shuffle on into the next paragraph with us...

Porterdavis is a rootsy trio with its origins in the Boston subway system, though the guys now call Austin, Texas home. Adding to the all-overness of the band, harmonica player Simon Wallace hails from Cambridge, England and vocalist Mike Meadows began his professional singing career at the age of five with the Atlanta Boys Choir. The band's history is an interesting one, and you can really see how their americana pop sound has evolved by reading it in detail.

Never listened to Porterdavis? Well, we've got you covered there too. Or, rather, the band does. Helpfully included on its official site are some song clips and mp3 downloads, so check those out to get an idea of what we'll be hosting in the store:

porterdavis loves you

Hope to see you on Sunday!

PS - The band will also be playing Eddie's Attic that night.
