New release Tuesday (3/20/07) + other stuff!

Phew. We have a ton to tell you, so let's get started, shall we? As you can see above, our listening stations are fully stocked and ready for, well, listening. With 16 CDs per station and three stations total, you can do the math and realize there is a ton of stuff for your ears to feast on. Two of the stations carry a mix of new and upcoming stuff that we like, and the third station is dedicated solely to local artists. All of it's great, though, so come in soon when you have some time on your hands. This has been a long-overdue project for the store, and we're very excited to have it up and running now.

We've also got some dandy giveaways to tell you about. Check 'em out, asterisk style:

* Sign up to win an autographed copy of Lucinda Williams' latest, West. We have the sign-up box right near the cash register.

* Want to see Snow Patrol at the Gwinett Arena on Wednesday? Well, hurry up if so, as we've got four tickets to give to whomever wants them. This goes to the first person who calls or shows up and asks. Good luck.

* Uncle Earl and Crooked Still are playing at Eddie's Attic on Thursday, and we've got half price ($5) tickets for sale. Stop by to get yours.

* Lately, we've been playing the heck out of Neil Young's latest live offering (that's the incredible-sounding one from Massey Hall for those of you keeping score at home), and now we have some lithographs to give to anyone who buys a copy.

Incidentally, tomorrow is also an awfully strong release day. Check out just a few of the great artists releasing new albums on Tuesday:

How is the new Andrew Bird? He's coming to Minneapolis soon and I'm hoping to see him.

I suppose those listening stations don't have a reallllly long cord, do they?

The new Andrew Bird is solid, but I've only had a couple listens, for what it's worth.

We're in the process of ordering cords for the listening stations that stretch all the way to the northernmost regions of the Midwest. Stay tuned!
