Get your Scion Rock Fest tickets at Decatur CD!
UPDATE (1/15): For all the out of town folks leaving comments on this post (and e-mailing us and calling us and sending us messages via carrier pigeon), hold up! We don't have tickets yet. But when we do, we'll make another blog post. At that time we'll start working out how you can pick up your tickets from the store when you get to Atlanta. Thanks!

Well, not quite yet, but soon. Many of you have probably heard this news floating around here or there, but we finally have details. The festival is happening on Saturday, Feb. 28th from noon to midnight at Masquerade Music Park. Tickets are absolutely free and you can get them here. We're told we'll have them sometime next week, and when we do there will be another blog post as well as an e-mail. Additionally, in a few weeks we'll have some limited edition silk-screened posters for giveaway to anyone who buys an album from one of the festival's artists. What artists are included? Glad that you asked. Look at the fantastic line-up below. It's a veritable who's who of modern-day metal:
Mastodon
Neurosis
High on Fire
Boris
1349
Cryptopsy
Torche
Nachtmystium
Wolves in the Throne Room
Baroness
Harvey Milk
Kylesa
Zoroaster
Withered
Krallice
Toxic Holocaust
Skeletonwitch
Rwake
A Storm of Light
Warbringer
Salome
Suidakra
Tyr
Alestorm
...and more!
That's right, "more." We've heard a rumor the actual line-up will include closer to 40 bands (24 are listed above), so look forward to some more announcements in the coming weeks. And in the meantime, get excited! This is going to be one crazy day of heavy music.

Drove 4 hours to Atlanta yesterday and got my tickets from Criminal Records. They're out of them now though seeing as how we scooped up the last 4 tickets. Sorry guys.
Plus, they printed like 5K tickets and the masquerade can only hold like 1K. Do the math.
that is just cruel... my heart is so set on going. even if it means driving 7 hours from florida.
its going to be outside at the music park which holds a lot more than 1,000 people. dont know how cold it will be though. need tickets still!
Sweet Jesus every time I look this up another band I love gets added.
I really hope something is available for the out-of-towners.
emails? How do I join an email list for this?
On the right side of the homepage of our blog, Veronika.
do you all have tickets available? teh website says you can't register there until next week. I have heard Criminal and Wax n Facts have been giving them away already
Suffice it to say, this is the least organized festival in the history of music. Vice and Scion should be ashamed of half-assing it so.
Yeah, this crappy rat race for a ticket. Well, I hope someone bootlegs the better bands.
the indie record stores around atlanta are handing out tickets. A few friends and I got 6 tickets today. You have to go and ask. They have the tickets. I think each store has 250 to give away at the moment. Only 2 per person. Totally free and admission is not guaranteed with the ticket. It says that right on the ticket. so there ya go.
Is there any way to get tickets for this i will pay any price drive any distance you name it. My name is Davis Moore and I live in Mississippi please let me know
im from atlanta. can I please get 2 tickets? im ready to pay!
This looks like a lot of fun!
